I made my official debut with the novel “Soul Reviver” in the Japanese literary magazine Shōsetsu Subaru. However, the true origins of my passion for storytelling trace back much further.

When I was five years old, I was captivated by the story of “Hoichi the Earless” after watching it in a TV animation. I memorized the plot instantly. A few hours later, during a car ride, I recited the entire tale from memory to the adults with me. Their astonished reactions—”How do you know such an old story?”—were utterly fascinating to me. Looking back, that experience was the initial spark that drew me deep into the world of narratives.

Japan holds countless surprising stories, chilling tales, and brilliantly moving narratives that lie dormant. Through this website, I aim to translate and introduce these Japanese stories to English-speaking readers.
